instrument
for
measuring
angles

especially
the
angles
of
crystals
, or the
inclination
of
planes
.

two
movable
arms

which (at

) the
faces
of the
crystals
are
placed
. These
arms
turn
about a
fixed
point
, which is the
center
of the
graduated

or
