Definition of Merostomata

Mer`o`stom´a`ta
prop. n. p1.(Zool.) A class of Arthropoda, allied to the Crustacea. It includes the trilobites, Eurypteroidea, and Limuloidea. All are extinct except the horseshoe crabs (Limulus) of the last group. See Limulus.
